People,

thanks for the mobilization ;-)

A kernel with options ADBKBD_DEBUG will print out ADB events which contain the scancodes.

I'm sorry I couldn't find such a flag in the sys/arch/macppc/conf/ GENERIC file

How am I supposed to switch it on ?

Add it ;)
I didn't put it in GENERIC mostly because it's not exactly useful to pretty much anyone except people who work on the ADB keyboard driver. It will print loads of debug info which will make it rather difficult to actually use the machine. Some hints how to read it: * every ADB keyboard event consists of up to two scancodes, in almost all cases the 2nd one is unused and should be ff. On some keyboards the power button sends an event using both bytes. * the scancodes are 7 bit wide, the upper bit is used to indicate wether the key was pressed or released. So, before turning it on I'd strongly recommend setting up sshd or some other way to log into the machine over the network.

I know I'm being insistent, I'm sorry, please bar with me.

I'm just trying to help you help us.

have fun
Michael
