Unfortunately no. It's Deskjet F380 - just in case anybody got this to
work, or knows how to please do share.

I can confirm that Devanagari scripts that I need to work, don't work with
xterm. They don't work with rxvt also. (Somewhere rxvt's documentation
points to mlterm for Devanagari.)
