   Sorry to reopen this old thread, but I'm seeing something quite
similar, with a release build dying with a SEGV in nbmandoc fairly
consistently. Did anything get resolved off-list for this issue?

   I'm also running an AMD system, but with an older Phenom 9850
Quad-Core CPU and MS-7551 motherboard. I did have some memory
problems a month or so ago, but after cranking back the clock and
passing an extensive memtest86+ test, I reinstalled the OS and
rebuilt everything. It's since then that I've noticed the problem.
