It's perfectly easy to avoid it for the average small server operation,
which might, for example, benefit from ImageMagick and thus libjpeg.

I'm not interested in specific systems, to be honest. Just in keeping
things easy to build on low end and non-amd64 systems and with old
compilers, as a general theme.
