Yes, I have actually used pkgsrc on a board (that did something else mainly) with a ppc control processor. Separately, I have a router box that's tiny, and has pkgsrc, and that's sort of embedded. I don't see any reason to invent something like pkgsrc that isn't to manage software on low-resource systems.
