Note that boot.iso this is just a boot cd, it doesn't have the sets.
It is mounted as /:
[   5.0511643] boot device: cd0
[   5.0812031] root on cd0a dumps on cd0b
[   5.1212272] root file system type: cd9660

no you can't mount it again on /mnt ...
