My bad, I meant Virtualizor. My provider uses it for its backend/frontend.
I also noticed that when the ping doesn't work, the Linklayer Address of
the gateway in the NDP table appears as (incomplete), and when it works
the MAC address appears properly.

It's the same behavior @feurry observed in the original thread, so I
thought it's the same root cause, but since the patch doesn't fix it for
me I'm not sure now.
If it's something on the provider's side, I'd like to talk to their
support with a proper explanation/evidence.
