I run X on an amd64 Dom0 ... but it is an old kernel and old Xen, and with a 
graphics card deliberately purchased after seeing someone say "if you get
an xxx you'll get accelleration, but if you get a yyy (a more expensive, 
smarter version of xxx) we have no suport it will just act as a dumb frame buffer ..".
I  bought yyy... (deliberately).

I'l like to use Xen on my laptop as well, which runs a relatively recent 
current, but haven't gotten around to trying yet.
