On the documentation side, I agree.

But when it comes to downloading, I don't see the problem. The
instructions are clear:

"Download NetBSD 6.1.3 via FTP or HTTP: Change into the NetBSD 6.1.3
directory and fetch the files for the relevant port. "

The "Other FAQs and HOWTOs" page contains stale howtos.

There's no enough information about the difference between base system
and pkgsrc. One could wrongly assume the installed system is a
productive environment when it's not.
