On my firefox 153.01 (atm on W11) it works as expected - the side bar
just moves the entire NetBSD window a bit to the right, nothing is
occluded.

Happens at particular window widths because the table in the Get NetBSD section refuses to resize until the reactivity code has already decided to delete the sidebar.

You will see it if you gradually reduce the width of the window.

I think if the table content allowed wrapping of table fields (like it does when the stylesheet makes the sidebar disappear it might be okay.

There is some weirness in the layout of https://www.netbsd.org/ that I
notice in Firefox, if I have a side bar open (hit F1 to do that).

This obviously reduces the horizontally available space. But for some
reason, it seems like the page is still laid out like the space IS
available. So you get a horizontal scroll bar for the main (right hand
side) of the page. Often the text indeed doesn't fit any more and
disappears off the right.

I have noticed the same thing, but my display is 1024x768, so it happens
to me regardless of whether I have the sidebar open. It's not enough of
a nuisance that I really think about it because usually I'm reading the
guide anyway... but it'd be nice to see it fixed.
