NetBSD website layout weirdness

I'm not sure where to mail this, so I'll try here. Maybe somebody knows
how to improve this.

There is some weirness in the layout of https://www.netbsd.org/ that I
notice in Firefox, if I have a side bar open (hit F1 to do that).

This obviously reduces the horizontally available space. But for some
reason, it seems like the page is still laid out like the space IS
available. So you get a horizontal scroll bar for the main (right hand
side) of the page. Often the text indeed doesn't fit any more and
disappears off the right.

If I move the horizontal scroll bar, the left menu bar of the page seems
to be transparent and the text from the main part mixes in with it.

I have attached an example image.

If I click on the hamburger thingie to make the left menu bar disappear,
the right hand text doesn't reflow. But at least it's all visible now.

https://mdbook.code-maven.com/ seems like a good example of how pages
with a side bar could behave, with or without a side bar from Firefox
itself.
