| No, there is a complete X distribution in xsrc which is part of the
| NetBSD src, you don't need to install X from pkgsrc, you just need the X

| in-tree or pkgsrc version.
"xsrc" is a separate tree - see
http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/?only_with_tag=MAIN
however, it's mostly empty, and the Git mirror
https://github.com/NetBSD/xsrc
doesn't have much source-code (for some reason, even emptier).
In particular, there is no xterm source-code.
While a distribution can provide tarballs from other places,
those aren't part of the source-tree.
"src" contains only hooks such as
http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/external/mit/xorg/bin/xterm/?only_with_tag=MAIN
to build using source from outside the tree.
