I did work around by adding CHECK_OSABI=no in pkg_install.conf 

Agree with pkg_add change or other work around rather than cloning repo.

If that really is an error, we need to fix pkg_add. I thought it would just
be a warning?

But rebuilding all pkgs just to get a tiny detail in the meta information
different sounds a bit wastefull to me.
