If you're running this from inside your company's network, Citrix is probably your best bet for minimizing friction with your IT/security department, and making things easy for yourself.  If you can get it the Citrix client working reliably then you can let someone else worry about Windows licensing, making sure the right version of IE is installed, security patches are installed, etc...
