Wrong on account of Windows 8.1 being 64-bit only. You are mistaken with server 2012 and up, which are only 64-bit.
Otherwise at this time and age I fail to see reason to use the 32-bit versions on anything modern enough (I only have a couple of old PCs left over to die in peace which are not 64-bit capable).
