I don't know what your use case is, but I know of thousands of production
systems that already run or soon will run NetBSD, and those are just the
ones I personally worked on.  NetBSD is very popular as an embedded Unix
for network devices that have to work the first time, every time, often
without the customer ever even noticing there's Unix underneath the CLI
or GUI.
