Wish I had the time to try porting NetBSD to AT91SAM9G20 (we have some hw
for that, but I don't like running linux on it).

The Net5501 runs NetBSD well, except for the A20 issue in the boot loader that causes a 120 second delay on boot. Here's the bug report:

Hacking the boot loader to remove the offending code removes the delay and works reliably for many people. The Soekris mailing list archives has more info.
