It is not ported to NetBSD -- it uses Linux/glibc headers for example. 
(Unless someone can point me to a NetBSD port). I do see had been ported 
to FreeBSD:

Thanks. I now found grub2 in pkgsrc-wip. It won't install yet but I am 
checking into it.
