Hi, I have this machine here with 4G of RAM and running NetBSD-5 stable branch. I leave it alone for one night and return to see the situation: lots of free mem, and used swap [see also attached xosview shot]. Now I'm aware of the fact that during the night there's /etc/security running and scanning the filesystem etc. But shouldn't the following prevent the filesystem from using all too much memory? vm.anonmin = 10 vm.filemin = 10 vm.execmin = 5 vm.anonmax = 80 vm.filemax = 50 vm.execmax = 30 Are there tools to determine which processes are sleeping in the swap? Tia & regards, -Martin
