Yes, indeed. The RealTek chip will be directly connected to the router
on the PCI card. This advantage of this solution is e.g. that your
NetBSD router doesn't own the public IP address but is behind a NAT.
There is at least one real ADSL2+ cards:

There is however no NetBSD driver for it at the moment. And it is probably
rather expensive considering that the card has multiple ports.
