Some wireless routers do make a trouble mixing modes.
If not a secret, what is the brand of your router?
If possible, double or triple check additions you
made to router configuration. Also, try out wpa2 via
wpa_supplicant.
If all fails, try from the very start. Connecting
neighbor's wifi means it works fine.
