Re: x86 GENERIC kernels unlobotomized



Please count me in the camp of wanting this reverted.

If there are problems with modular kernels, they should be fixed. Reverting the modularized config simply (IMHO) sweeps the problems "under the rug" and avoids/defers the fix.

Core has been asked about this many times and has yet to actually say
anything.

In the meantime, please do not revert unless the flamewar currently
getting started reaches a clear consensus on that.
