Hm, my actual amd64 system still has:

  $ ll /usr/lib/nss_*
  -r--r--r--  2 root  wheel  17546 Feb 16 10:08 /usr/lib/nss_mdnsd.so.0
  -r--r--r--  2 root  wheel  17546 Feb 16 10:08 /usr/lib/nss_multicast_dns.so.0

Should the keywords match these names?

BTW: Can anybody use the mdns*-service under NetBSD? Adding any of
these keywords to my /etc/nsswitch.conf does not yield any mdns-based
hostname resolution...

Markus.
