Help needed - NetBSD 5.0 - generic Apr-26 fails in fsck ..
Strange things happen to this box, I need some help.
I upgraded to a new mobo Asus M4A78-VM (4GB & 9 Disks), (and from BSD4
-> 5)
since then booting with ACPI turned on fails completely.
Booting with no acpi did work, till the system
crashed overnight (probably during extensive rsync & hardlinking and
disk indexing).
Now the really frustrating bit: every time it runs the fsck -y it
crashes again (ten crashes later it got throught the fsck, and works
currently).
The drive it was failing on is 2*1TB sata (sw)raid dunno if that is
related,
it panics in ohci_softintr (on the bottom of the mail is a stack trace).
I should mention that no USB device is connected, and disabling the USB
in the bios caused it fail somewhere else.
I guess its some kind of buffer overrun,
unfortunately the kernel doesn't dump anymore.....
any ideas?
cheers thilo
