Two problems: any newer GCC is GPLv3.

But the primary issue is that any newer GCC require gmp and mpfr which means either importing them and making them host tools and well as providing them
for gcc.  That's a lot of bloat just for a new GCC.

While gmp and mpfr are LGPL licensed, they are still major libraries that
wouldn't be BSD licensed.
