How very odd. I see an IPV6 address but no IPV4. If I restart network by
hand, I get an ip address. Any debug help would be much appreciated.
So, to clarify, dhcpcd fails to get an IPv4 address during boot but
works when restarted by hand after boot? Or is it losing the IPv4
address when it attempts to RENEW?
It's when it first starts up. I just tried it and I must have the wrong
options in rc.conf.
On the dhcp server:
Aug 2 08:47:13 chris dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.1.52 from
00:16:76:b4:f3:68 via fxp0
Aug 2 08:47:13 chris dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.1.52 to 00:16:76:b4:f3:68 via

Aug 2 08:47:43 chris dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.52 to 00:16:76:b4:f3:68 via

Aug 2 08:47:43 chris dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.1.52 (192.168.1.21) from

Aug 2 08:47:43 chris dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.1.52 to 00:16:76:b4:f3:68 via
fxp0
But ifconfig shows:
wm0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
capabilities=7ff80<TSO4,IP4CSUM_Rx,IP4CSUM_Tx,TCP4CSUM_Rx,TCP4CSUM_Tx,UDP4CSUM_Rx,UDP4CSUM_Tx,TCP6CSUM_Rx,TCP6CSUM_Tx,UDP6CSUM_Rx,UDP6CSUM_Tx,TSO6>
enabled=0
address: 00:16:76:b4:f3:68
media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX
full-duplex,flowcontrol,rxpause,txpause)
status: active
inet6 fe80::216:76ff:feb4:f368%wm0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1
inet6 2001:4830:1240:0:216:76ff:feb4:f368 prefixlen 64
If I run it by hand, it works but I don't have the output yet. Mistakes
with redirection and "tee". :)
