Not sure if it's related or not, but using ifwatchd reports link up/down
events faster than the system can log then for my rt2500 based card on
NetBSD-4.0/amd64. Without ifwatchd, the card itself works just fine. No
encryption is used, instead OpenVPN.
Here's the dmesg snippet.
roy@uberpc $ dmesg | grep ral0
ral0 at pci0 dev 11 function 0: Ralink Technologies RT2560 802.11b/g (rev.
0x01)
ral0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 19 (irq 12)
ral0: 802.11 address 00:0e:2e:66:36:ec
ral0: MAC/BBP RT2560 (rev 0x04), RF RT2525
ral0: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps
ral0: 11g rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps
36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
I'll try upgrading the box to -current during the week to see if it's been
fixed or not, but I'm not sure that it has as it sounds related.
Thanks
Roy
