Re: pkgsrc stability vs. updates

I'd like to elaborate about my background for involvement in this
release. I don't have a strong opinion about release timing, but I
would much rather the decision process to happen because we actively
chose it and believe it is a better choice, rather than through
defaulting to it because nobody has picked up handling releases.
