Why does this happen so often? It reminds me of the vim-share issue that we've had for many years.

Latest pkgsrc, NetBSD 10.1, via pkg_rolling-replace -suv:

...
=> Creating binary package /usr/pkgsrc/www/curl/work/.packages/ curl-8.11.1nb1.tgz ===> package-message [curl-8.11.1nb1 rust-1.81.0 cargo-c-0.9.32 libimagequant-4.3.3 gd-2.3.3nb14] ===> Building binary package for curl-8.11.1nb1
=> Creating binary package /usr/pkgsrc/packages/All/curl-8.11.1nb1.tgz
===> su-real-package-install [curl-8.11.1nb1 rust-1.81.0 cargo-c-0.9.32 libimagequant-4.3.3 gd-2.3.3nb14] ===> Installing binary package of curl-8.11.1nb1 pkg_add: A different version of curl-8.11.1nb1 is already installed: curl-8.6.0
pkg_add: 1 package addition failed
IIRC that happens because pkg_rolling-replace fails to rebuild curl before rebuilding something BUILD_DEPENDing on a newer version of curl, but my memory is fading away so don't tell me to fix it...

pkgrrxx(8) from pkgtools/pkgchkxx doesn't have this issue btw.
