There are a couple of reasons.

The first is that they're very quick to adaopt new versions of the
C++ standard, which is problematic for pkgsrc (especially for keeping
things working on NetBSD *-1).

The second is that I originally packaged it for my roommate, who I
no longer live with. ;)
