It looks like a good plan.

However, when trying to add support for `test' target - please do
NOT try to do it if you are not prepared for a possible `rm -rf /'!! -
I have noticed that this leads to an `rm -rf /'.

It seems that an issue was filled upstream^[0] but probably it is
not completely fixed.  I hope to investigate, get in touch with
upstream and fix it ASAP.  In the meantime I have collected some
notes in wip/enchant/TODO.
