If you mean: "Do you mind to force every package that depends on db1
interface to depend on db4?" -- Yes, there is.

If you mean: "Do you mind to distinguish only between db1 and use db4
for the rest?" -- No, that's fine. I expect some fallout that needs to
be fixed though.
