In this case the .prefix.post file was empty:

-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel       0 Nov  2 12:30:50 2008 .prefix.post
-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  284363 Nov  2 12:30:49 2008 .prefix.pre

Another try to install it, after i removed the work direcory and deleted
the package looks better and caused no error:

-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  285994 Nov  2 13:12:03 2008 .prefix.post
-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  284363 Nov  2 13:12:02 2008 .prefix.pre
