!!  I don't recall seeing any machine do that, though, to be fair, I
don't recall trying it very often, and then only by mistake.  (It would
probably be easier on a SPARC; if you own the machine - don't care
about an OS or other processes - you have quite a lot of registers
available, though you have to shift windows to access most of them.)
