I remember when I tried this on a desktop box a while ago,
the onboard VGA got enabled by the FIXUP although an external
VGA adapter was present. This led to chaos of course.
A cardbus adapter behind a PCI-PCI bridge also didn't get
initialized correctly.
This might be fixed or not, I haven't tried (and not needed)
the FIXUP stuff on desktop boxes recently.
