Thanks Nick. I'll try these out.

I also looked at whether upstream firmware changed any further. That's
when I came across this repo:
https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/tree/master/boot

There are 8 files here titled firmware, whereas above thread mentions 5 of
them. Should I borrow all 8 from above repo, or only those committed in
NetBSD CVS repo would work?

Only the 5 files are required and I'd recommend trying the versions that
are in HEAD rather than upstream.  The versions in HEAD are easily
downloaded here
