Re: problems with ppp



 Any updates on this? I have played around a bit ...

 Funny, I have exactly the same problem on my 3000 - but under Linux!

 No dty00 here either. What exactly is this supposed to be?

 This turns out quite interesting: in my case, pppd doesn't do anything
 at all unless started with the debug option!

 Adding noauth to options helps, but frankly, I don't exactly see the
 connection here.

 Also, I am geeting abysmal transfer speeds, sometimes only about 20 bytes/s
 for ftp. I've even seen my modem switching to low speed mode (HS light off)
 at some stage. Any idea what I should look at? Both ends are 33.6k.

 ttym0 doesn't work for me either. What is it?
