setuid scripts ???

While playing with perl5 I learned of *secure* setuid scripts.
And so, I wanted to let it work with NetBSD, which has a /dev/fd/ dir.

while diggin' in the kernel sources I encountered a option called
SETUIDSCRIPTS somewhere in the hp300 conf directory.
why has this not been enabled per default (it is after all called *secure* ?)

Ruben

ps. will we have 800x600 AGA (super72/84) support in NetBSD 1.2 ?
