That will be fine. I was waiting from jlam to tell about his plans for 
this. I think he asked me to hold off from importing the modular xorg to 
pkgsrc until he could research this further.

That will be great if you can help with this. Maintaining current xorg for 
too long makes no sense as it is not maintained upstream either.

It will be easier in the long run as bug fixes and updates will be for 
few small packages.

Continued integration with XFree86 in pkgsrc and with native X will get 
harder -- but I am guessing as this gets little maintenance XFree86 will 
be removed from pkgsrc.
