IMAP server options in pkgsrc

Hey folks,

I am moving a mail server to a new machine (and totally new setup),
so I am looking at what options I have for a pop3 and imap server
in pkgsrc.

The web relatively clearly recommended dovecot, so I started looking there.
However, there just has been a major bump and configuration is a bit
different for the older version in mail/dovecot2. For a new setup this
gives me a bad feeling, I don't want to have a complex major bump "soonish".

The other obvious option is mail/cyrus-imapd24, which also is a majore
version behind the current 3.8.6. pkgsrc-wip has a slightly older
cyrus-imapd36.

Does anyone have any other recommendations or experience with dovecot
2.3 to 2.4 migration?

Anyone feel like creating newer wip packages for cyrus, or one for
dovecot 2.4?
