>Description:
  Dear maintainers of pkgsrc,

the Sylpheed and Claws Mail E-Mail applications do search for the SSL/TLS truststore in /etc/ssl instead of the directory /etc/openssl provided by the pkgsrc packages mozilla-rootcerts, mozilla-rootcerts-openssl and ca-certificates.

To ease the user experience, please do configure the pre-built packages for amd64, which I am using, in a way to look in the correct directory.

I finally could fix the problem by running:

	(Solution:)

  # ln -s /etc/openssl /etc/ssl

The above problem already was in the mcabber or profanity package a good year back, where it got fixed after I complained.

The problem is described also here:

	https://www.claws-mail.org/faq/index.php/SSL/TLS_certificate_verification_errors

	Thanks a lot for listening.

	Sincerely,

	Adrian KieÃ?

>How-To-Repeat:
Install Sylpheed and Claws Mail from pre-built packages on amd64. Try to verify the TLS certificate from your E-Mail provider, which will fail with the default installation.
>Fix:
  # ln -s /etc/openssl /etc/ssl
