>Description:
  Dear maintainers,

it would be nice if you could bump the version of chat/gajim/ in pkgsrc to a newer version, as version 1.7.3 is already downlaodable. I use Gajim 1.7 series on Debian and would like to do so on NetBSD too.

The new Gajim version contains a fully updated, much better XMMP chat client, with which working is very good.

To provide better usability for XMPP/Jabber users, please update the Gajim package in pkgsrc.

Please also ensure, that the following bug is fixed within Gajim, when updating it.

	The ticket was: http://gnats.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=56022
( Gajim XMPP/Jabber client will not store passwords )

I would also like to point out, to an older request from myself by this chance, in which I requested that TKabber should be updated. The TKabber version in pkgsrc does not support SSL/TLS and is very old. Since most of the XMPP/Jabber servers work by using SSL/TLS nowadays, it may not be usable anymore (this is the case for me).

	The ticket was: http://gnats.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=55950
( Tkabber does not support TLS encryption )

A usability bug I found in MCabber, which would be nice if fixed, for good usabilty of XMPP chat software on NetBSD:

	The ticket was: http://gnats.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=57054
mcabber: User interface gets destroyed/garbled on screen refresh (CTRL+L)

	Thank you a lot!

	Sincerely,

	Adrian Kiess
>How-To-Repeat:
Install and use Gajim, TKAbber and MCabber from pkgsrc pre-built binaries on NetBSD/amd64.
>Fix:
Update above named software in pkgsrc.
