I have used many laptops from HP.
And I have no experience to require Windows
to enter UEFI firmware/BIOS settings.
User guide of HP Pavilion - 15-au123cl
has common description as follows:
> Turn on or restart the computer, quickly press esc, and then press f10.
You can download the user guide from here:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/setup-user-guides/hp-pavilion-15-au100-notebook-pc/model/12780759
And if you want to run Windows without
wiping NetBSD, Windows To Go USB stick is
useful. You can easily use Windows To Go
USB stick with Rufus for Windows.
https://rufus.ie/en/
Sadly it requires a working Windows environment.
Thank you.
