how to limit battery charge level and/or edit uefi settings

Hello NetBSD Users,

My battery has been overcharging and has begun to bloat.  This is on
an HP Pavilion laptop  15au123cl running NetBSD 10.1.

Apparently there is a way to limit the battery charge level in
something called "Adaptive Battery Optimizer" in the "UEFI Firmware
Settings", but the only way I have found to access this is via
Windows, which I cannot go back to since I wiped the disk to put on
NetBSD.

I would be grateful if someone has pointers on how to limit the
battery charge level on this laptop.
