Yes. Pulseaudio complained about its absence, and I have it running 
now, but to no avail re epiphany producing audio.

$ ps ax |grep dbus
  376 ?     I    0:00.00 dbus-launch --autolaunch fecfbf1326fa0b079d1767165cd25
  535 ?     Is   0:00.00 /usr/pkg/bin/dbus-daemon --system --fork 
  633 ?     Is   0:00.01 /usr/pkg/bin/dbus-daemon --syslog-only --fork --print-

Not sure to what that '--syslog-only' line refers.

AT ANY RATE, *thank you* for getting back to me. I am currently in 
the middle of a pkgsrc build of firefox60, and when that completes 
<gulp> I will have another browser to test audio.
