Re: NIC timeouts since upgrade to 4.0 (partly solved)

Sorry (again) for the late reply, had a busy week...

netbsd-4 also has options ACPI_SCANPCI, which you don't have in your

kernel ?

I disabled this option but it didn't change anything.

After that I installed NetBSD-CURRENT (as of March 13, as far as I remember) on a spare partition and the nfe worked. The vr still had the same problems and only worked with ACPI disabled.

After looking into the if_nfe.c diff between 4.0 and CURRENT the only relevant change seems to be in the media select code. So I added a 'media 100baseTX' to my ifconfig.nfe0 and the card works fine now.

I can live with this solution since I need only one NIC, but if somebody is still interested in solving this, I'll be happy providing more information.

Thanks for your efforts and kind regards,
Freddy
