Indeed.

Great, some 10 year old Linux developer was frustrated that cp didn't
have all the same flags as rsync -- after all, what were those idiots
who wrote cp thinking, anyone could see it should have a -a flag like
rsync!!!1 -- and decided to add one, so now we have to follow along?
