Could you please try booting a NetBSD-current kernel to check whether the
latest wm(4) driver works better for you?

Okay, I have updated my system to 4.99.66 and still have a problem withcarrier detect as described in the pr (kern/37976). If I boot with thenetwork cable inserted the system boots and networking works. If I thenremove the network cable, ifconfig correctly shows 'no-carrier'. When Ire-insert the network cable, the carrier is not detected and ifconfigcontinues to show 'no-carrier'. In this state the lights on my switch(for the port that the machine is connected too) blink on and off. Torectify this situation I do a ifconfig wm0 down followed by an ifconfigwm0 up. I have not yet tested the multicasting.
