Re: Fwd: GSoC 2016

I have submitted the proposal for "Implement Ext3fs filesystem support" to the GSoC website for the review. Please have a look and comment wherever changes/improvements to be done.

Sorry for the bad English.

Its very nice to know about BSDs similarities and collaboration to each other. It will be my honor to successfully complete this project and make contribution to FreeBSD and/or NetBSD if I get opportunity.

Yes sir, I too estimated the of complexity of independent journaling

Applying in NetBSD may reduce my change of getting accepted in FreeBSD?

Not at all. Both applications are independent and we look at merit.
If both projects choose you proposal we will discuss it amicably
and eventually let you decide.

This said, it looks like I will have many proposals and we would
like to mentor the most people we can.

FreeBSD and NetBSD are similar enough that whatever you do there would
work also with few trouble on FreeBSD

Pedro.
