One of its usage is to export volumes to Xen domains, and be able to resize and migrate them. One could also use it when exporting iSCSI targets. And people may want to use it for backing non-FFS filesystems, or even raw disk databases. So please take this into account when it comes to LVM snapshots. -- Adam
